A Itelmatis está a investigar, em co-promoção com a Universidade do Algarve, uma solução de hardware e software com vista ao desenvolvimento de um Sistema Inteligente Integrado de Gestão de água em tempo real, particularmente direcionado para a gestão de campos de golfe.
A principal inovação, face à oferta existente, será a de que o sistema ajusta o seu desempenho automaticamente em função não só das condições climatéricas como também em função de condicionantes técnicas identificadas através da recolha e emissão de dados reais (não por estimativa), recolhidos e processados em tempo real, que condicionam os consumos de energia e de água mas também a qualidade da água utilizada na rega.
Além destas funcionalidades, que já por si são um fator distinto do estado da arte, o sistema irá integrar uma plataforma de apoio agronómico, composta por modelos matemáticos que auxiliarão os responsáveis do campo a definir as melhores práticas de rega consoante as particularidades dos vários locais a regar no campo.
Pretende-se que a solução a investigar traga os seguintes benefícios:
- Modernizar e simplificar os sistema de gestão de rega dos campos de golfe;
- Melhorar a gestão da água, na medida em que os satélites deverão ser capazes deinterromper o débito de água, quando os sensores detetam a precipitação. Refira-se que num campo de golfe são debitados em média 450.000 m³/ano;
- Melhoria da qualidade dos campos, permitindo que a manutenção dos mesmos seja realizada por leitura em tempo real com resposta adequada e não por dados estimados, diminuindo incorreções e respetivas consequências ambientais e económicas;
- Poupança de energia, tendo em consideração que as bombas de rega só serão acionadas quando necessário e poderão ser paradas remotamente quando necessário, reduzindo desperdícios e melhorando os resultados económicos e ambientais do empreendimento;
- Aumento da rentabilidade dos campos, possibilitando um maior número de horas de utilização do campo, com consequente maior tempo de abertura ao público e respetiva rentabilidade;
- Aumento da vida útil dos aquíferosderivada de uma gestão menos agressiva deste recurso;
- Redução do risco de danos na relva com águas contaminadas;

UAlg takes companies from the region to participate at prestigious innovation events
The Unviersidade do Algarve through CRIA, the Division for Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer of the WIDER project, offered four companies from the Algarve the possibility to participate at the EEN Buyers Lounge event, organised by Enterprise Europe Network (b2b meetings), which took place together with the Light & Building 2014 Fair in Frankfurt at the beginning of April. This fair, which takes place twice a year, is the biggest world event on illumination, electro technical engineering, domestic automatism and construction industry software. The 2014 edition had 2,458 exhibitors distributed over 245.000 fair square meters and received 211,500 visitors from 161 countries.
This event had the participation of representatives from ITELMATIS, ROLEAR, ÂMAGO e JOÃO PEDRO SILVESTRE, LDA., who had the opportunity to make new contacts and partnerships and to learn about the new developments on illumination and construction technologies.
According to Jorge Luz, ITELMATIS representative, “The visit to this fair and the promoted b2b meetings allowed Itelmatis to make new contacts with companies with great potential to establish international partnerships as well as to have the opportunity to compare the technology developed by Itelmatis with the ones present at the event.”
The Universidade do Alagarve through the CRIA and the WIDER project will give companies in the Algarve region on the eco-building for the elderly the opportunity to participate on the InnovActors – New Challenges and opportunities for Europe innovation fair which will take place in Civitanova, Italy, between the 4th and the 7th June 2014. Intelmatis never stops innovating. We have created a wide range of solutions and conquered many markets thanks to the trust and support of all the people who believed in our capacity to do it better.
In order to maintain this tradition, we decided to create something new once again by reformulating our name and image.
To make a serious approach to the international market we felt the need to adapt our organizational structure and our branding.
So that was exactly what we did. From now on we have a new name, shorter and less susceptible to being mistaken with other brands, and a new image, more clear and objective.

For the second consecutive year Intelmatis participated in the BEST Engineering Week which took place between the 28th March and the 1st April, 2011, at the University of the Algarve.
This event promotes interaction between the students and their future employees, in order to give them a better perspective of the market and their future options.

Itelmatis was distinguished by the “Rede PME Inovação COTEC” as one of the most innovative SMEs in Portugal.
This award took place at the “Centro Cultural de Belem”, in Lisbon, on the “4th Conference of Rede PME Incovação COTEC”. The acknowledgement of the added value products created by Itelmatis together with our vocation and dedication to innovation and development were the base of our inclusion in shuch prestigious SMEs network.
COTEC is a business association created in 2003 with the objective promoting competition, creativity and innovation, by distinguishing companies which have stood out in these fields.
Itelmatis gets in this way recognition for all the consistent work and creativity, and it gives us an additional reason to keep on creating on innovative solutions to help our customers.

Itelmatis and our innovative solutions were showcased on a “Regiões TV” show.
The report was part of the “PME’s Soluções” programme with a duration of 30 minutes and with interviews with some of our customers who have our solutions integrated as part of their production system:
- At “Viveiros de Santo Isidro” you can find an integrated fertigation solution, a pumping station, irrigation pivots, greenhouses environmental control and energy quality monitoring
- At the “Alísios” Hotel you can see a tailored building management system
- At the “Vale da Lama” aquaculture you can also see an integrated system that controls most of the critical equipment
This report made us all proud at Itelmatis as it is the recognition of all the good work done so far and an incentive to continue improving our solutions and service offering.
